Dead Jed: Adventures of a Middle School Zombie

For Jed Rivers, Pine Hollow's only resident zombie middle schooler, it's a question of making it through the day in one piece!

It's not just avoiding bullies who like to play "pull the arm off the zombie". It's not just the principal who hates Jed for being so uniquely different. It's not just the unbelievable awkwardness of being twelve or having sickly gray skin that sheds and oozes slime when you're nervous. To top it all off Jed's starting a new school. But instead of moaning and groaning like a stereotypical zombie, he has to show whole new school that being a ghoul is cool.

Forget everything you thought you knew about the "undead". Jed's got a whole lot of heart, even if it isn't beating!

Dead Jed: Dawn of the Jed

Every kid needs a friend who is understanding, supportive, and there with a slobbery tennis ball when someone could use a smile. Jed's parents, however, again turn down the boy zombie's greatest wish. No wonder Jed races after a stray after spotting the dog in a park. If the dog happens to follow him home, how could his parents object?

What happens in the next crucial moments is both Jed's worst and greatest moments in his undead life. When it's over, Jed has a new best friend that's as unique as he is. Now all he has to do is convince his parents to let him keep up. How could they say no to a dog who doesn't only chase his tail, but catches it, tears it off and buries it?

Things are even more tense at school when Jed learns of a mysterious group that wants all zombies suspended from school. Since he's the only undead student, it's clear he's the target. But what have they got against him? And what might they do if they find out he made a zombie dog?
